Survey Says Delivering Qualified Candidates Most Important

Law Firms and Legal Departments Looking for
Full Range of Qualifed Candidates

 

Ad Hoc recently commissioned a first-of-its-kind marketing study on how today's law firms and corporate legal departments use legal placement firms.

Our Sample

Fifty telephone interviews were conducted with law firms and corporate legal departments operating in Houston. Respondents were asked a series of questions to determine how their organizations use legal placement firms, which services they use, and what factors are most important to them when dealing with these firms.

The Findings

The research confirmed a number of trends in the marketplace. Here are the top five findings:

Seventy-five percent or more of the firms and legal departments surveyed use outside firms for the placement of both full-time and temporary legal professionals.

Eighty percent use a single firm to assist them with temporary and full-time placement.

Almost two-thirds of the respondents (64%) use a single firm for all of the different types of professionals needed, including attorneys, paralegals and secretaries.

The ability to provide qualified candidates is the single most important factor in determining selecting a placement firm for both full-time and temporary staffing solutions.

Matching firm or legal department specifications is a very close second.
